Donald Trump has lashed out at Prince Harrycalling the royal an “embarrassment” who is “led around by his nose” by wife Meghan.
The former US President made the comments during a sit-down with Piers Morgan, who is well-known for being critical of the couple. (Watch above.)
Trump told Morgan that from the beginning he was “not a fan of Meghan”.
“Poor Harry is being led around by his nose, and I think he’s an embarrassment,” Trump said in an interview for Morgan’s new show, Uncensored.
He predicts Harry and Meghan’s relationship will end “when Harry decides he’s had enough of being bossed around”.
“Or maybe when she decides that she likes some other guy better,” Trump said.
“It’ll end and it’ll end bad. Harry is whipped. He is a whipped man.”
Trump said the Queen should strip the couple of their remaining titles.
“The only thing I disagree with the Queen on, probably one of the only things ever, is that I think she should have said, ‘If that’s your choice, fine. But you no longer have titles, you know, and frankly, don ‘t come around’ … because her loyalty is to the country.”
He also called Harry’s decision not to attend his grandfather’s memorial at Westminster Abbey last month “terrible”.
It’s not the first time Trump has been vocal in his dislike for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
In 2019 Harry and Meghan urged US citizens to “reject hate speech” in the lead up to the presidential election, which many took as support for Trump’s opponent, Democrat Joe Biden.
In response, Trump said of Meghan: “I’m not a fan of hers”.
He then added: “I wish a lot of luck to Harry, because he’s going to need it.”
In December last year, Trump accused the Duchess of Sussex of being “disrespectful” to the Queen and the royal family.
“I think she’s very disrespectful to the royal family and most importantly to the Queen,” Trump said.
“I think Harry has been used horribly and I think some day he will regret it.
“I think it’s ruined his relationship with his family, and it hurts the Queen.”
Speaking to Morgan about his meeting with Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace in 2019, Trump said the monarch “liked me and I liked her and she let it be known”.
Somebody said, ‘We’ve never seen her smile so much’. We had a great time. They said they’ve never seen her have such a good time at a state dinner. You know, normally they’re a little boring .”
